OVERVIEW
Armenia is a landlocked country located in the South Caucasus region of Eurasia, bordered by Turkey to the west, Georgia to the north, Azerbaijan to the east, and Iran to the south.
Armenia is characterized by its mountainous terrain, with the Caucasus Mountains dominating much of the landscape. The country is home to the towering Mount Ararat, a national symbol, though the mountain itself is situated just beyond its borders in Turkey. Armenia's diverse geography includes fertile valleys, deep gorges, and scenic lakes, including Lake Sevan, one of the largest alpine lakes in the world.
